Our dispensaries are closed from 1pm to 2pm for lunch.

Extended hours

One night each week (alternating Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), 6pm to 8pm, at either Callington Health Centre or Gunnislake Health Centre.

Every Saturday, except Bank Holiday weekends, 8:30am to 12.30pm, at either Callington Health Centre or Gunnislake Health Centre.

We offer a range of services during our extended hour sessions, which are pre-bookable. Our phone lines will not be operating outside of our core hours 8.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

When you phone either health centre between

• 8am to 8:30am and 6pm to 6:30pm (Callington on 01579 382666 or Gunnislake on 01822 832641), your call will be forwarded automatically to the out of hours service.
• 6:30pm and 8am you will be advised to hang up and dial 111. You will be asked for simple details and your request will be referred to a duty doctor or nurse. You will then be offered either of the following, depending on the nature and severity of your symptoms:
  • Advice
  • An appointment at a Primary Care Centre
  • A home visit (doctor, midwife or district nurse)
