Medical Reception Apprentice/Patient Advisor
Vacancy Location – Callington/Gunnislake
You will offer general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
The following are the core responsibilities of the Apprentice. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
Patient advisors are the primary link between the Practice and the outside world. Most contacts are made through reception, with the patient advisor being the public face of the Practice. Patient advisors and other administrative staff support the GPs, Nurses and other clinicians in their delivery of healthcare, by minimising the time they spend on non clinical duties. Reception is also a central communications point for the Practice, and the patient advisor needs to facilitate communication amongst the Practice team.
